In recent years, there have been a number of companies and projects offering AI education technology platforms. Some focus on the educational administration side, but others focus more directly on the learning side. However, in such projects, many focus on AI-enabled human-machine interaction. In this context, the Center for Connected Smart Education at Beihang University and the Digital Education Futures Initiative (DEFI), a Cambridge-based institute for the future of digital education, are conducting a collaborative study that focuses on the current state and future vision of AI-enabled collaborative learning.

The Information Management Center of the Ministry of Education has commissioned the School of Future Education of Beihang University to conduct a study on "the study of foreign education digital strategy initiatives and the construction of its education situational awareness database".
